There was a surprise result when twenty third ranked SpanishAlicante (5-3) outscored higher ranked British Sheffield College (2-2) 86-62 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Alicante. Sheffield College managed to win fourth quarter 18-11 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Alicante looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Sheffield College 's players. Michael Connelly stepped up and scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and Carlos Bleda chipped in 8 points and 11 rebounds. Joao Prado responded with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Kelvin Talbot scored 7 points and 14 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Alicante have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to sixteenth place. Loser Sheffield College dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with 10 other teams.
